More Videos :)

I just love this age. Beckham is nine months now, and figuring out his coordination. He is so proud of himself; which is just adorable. Very entertaining. And, for anyone wondering.....no, he has NOT figured out the crawling yet. Which I am just fine with :) Seems like he is close. He is certainly getting much more wiggly and wants to be on the move.

I have been busy getting ready for school to start this Tuesday...officially. I have decided to use a combination of "stuff" this year instead of a more formal curriculum. I am using "Five in a Row" along with various reading/phonics workbooks and games. Pretty much just doing lots of reading; hoping to get Bethany reading on her own more this year. She is on the way, but just doesn't really have the confidence yet to pick up a book and read it on her own. We will be participating in our First Class homeschool group's Friday School this Fall. We did it in the Spring, and the kids (especially Beth) really had fun. Bethany is taking a craft class, a girls/Bible memory/skills class, and a class all about the rainforest. Ben will be in the Pre-K class, which I will actually be teaching. It will be a bit of prep for me, but it will be good for me to be in his class and for me to have at least one day a week where he has "structured" learning. For anyone wondering about Ben's progress, he really has not had much improvement yet. We are on a no-gluten, no-dairy, no corn, and no-soy diet in hopes of getting rid of his seizures. Our prayer is just that those darn seizures would just go away so that he can make more progress developmentally than he has been. He is just always tired and not very clear-headed. We have confidence that the Lord has a plan and we hope to glorify Him through this. Pray, especially, for patience for me (mommy) on the days that he has a hard time.

Alright...off to a busy day!

Officially...um....not 29.

A few gals planned a fun birthday party for me when we were down in Medford. It was really good to see people....especially a few that I had not seen in a long time. Thanks Jenn and Kim and mom and whoever else planned this. I loved the night out! I am looking forward to whatever the next decade brings. The last one was certainly fun, and brought 3 fun little people into our lives.

Heather and CraigBetsi and Matti.
Part of the group. Mom and Jess and Aunt Marlys were there too,
but I didn't get a pic of them....bummer!

Amy, Celena and I.

I know it's cheesy. Couldn't help it :)

Funniest Home Videos of the Month

Medford Visit with Watkins in Town!!!!!

Tree climbing with Cooper
These two had such a blast. It is always super hard to say goodbye knowing it may be a while until they get to play again :(

Uncle Andrew is a highlight of any visit home.
Here, he is pinning a dragonfly with the kid's rapt attention.

Watching (I believe) the grinch with Andrew. I think he laughs at that movie more than the kids.....although as soon as he starts laughing, the kids join right in.

It was fun to watch Timmy and Beth play "Sorry" all by themselves without help. They are getting so big!

We stopped by the BCC campout at Howard Prairie on Sunday. Within 5 minutes, the kids are looking as if they had been camping all week....nice.

Hangin' out....playin' with the toes...

Love the forehead wrinkles!

This boy is growing up too fast. What a fun and sweet guy Timmy is growing to be!

One-of-a-Kind!!!!

Just thought that this little goober needed a blog post of his own. Beckham hourly makes us laugh, as we are greatly amused by how different he is from his siblings. Now, we are not comparing him to his (individual-in-their-own-ways) sibings. No. But, he is just so different, it is a crack-up! Maybe it's just because Beth and Ben were so similar to each other in how they did things. They were crawling at 6 months. Beck is almost 8 months and has no desire. Which is totally fine. Here is an example of what he still does when you put him on his tummy......

.....nothing. He just gives me the "why are you putting me on my tummy again mom" look. And then proceeds to lay his head down and rest. It's hard work being on your tummy and doing nothing. Maybe it's the rolls. Again, his older siblings were all over the house at his age. Maybe they were burning their calories off, but they certainly did not get the, um, chubbiness with which Beck has been blessed.

As for the first picture above of him with his tongue out...this is his latest look. His tongue is out ALL THE TIME. When he is happy. Which is ALL THE TIME. Beckham Christopher is too much fun! No wonder the first thing Benjamin asks for when he wakes up every day is his brother.

Visit Home

Here is Chris with his lovely sisters. Think they are related? :)

Probably the cutest shot of the trip.

Gracie and me

Mom with her littlest (not for long) Grandbaby. Beck was chewing on her necklace all afternoon at the wedding we attended.

Handsome pic of my handsome husband and brother!

AND, I got to see my wonderful friend Cynthia, who happened to be in Medford while we were!!! She and her hubby are in Georgia (in the Air Force), but he is currently deployed, so she got to come home for a visit!

AND, last but not least, a pic of me and my soon-to-be husband of 8 years!!!!!!

For Your Amusement

Yes, I did this when I was little. I am not sure if I did it ALL - DAY - LONG or not, but this girl sure does. I think if we had a good selection of climbing trees in our yard, I think she would be up trees all day.

When Beth is not climbing the door frames, she is taking pictures. Many of herself. I'll blame Aunt Grace for this habit :)

Bethany and (second) cousin Aubrey.
These three sure have fun. Hopefully we are not teaching Aubrey too many bad habits :) (Like climbing door frames :)
