The kids and I just returned from our trip to San Antonio to visit Brent, Jess, Timmy and Allyson. We had a lot of fun and the trip flew by soooo quickly. It was a bit difficult at times without Chris, but we made the most of not having daddy along.

This is at the Children's Museum in San Antonio. The kids had a blast playing with the various displays, but the best part was just playing with Timmy and Allyson. They really made up for lost time by playing non-stop the entire visit. We mommy's were worn-out, but those cousins managed to have limitless energy.

Milking a "cow" at the museum ;)

Didn't really get to the Riverwalk, but passed by as we made our way to the museum. San Antonio reminded me sometimes of being in Brazil, sometimes of Mexico, and always very Texas! We had yummy authentic mexican food, and great, huge tostada burgers at a fun burger place.

I did not get enough pictures of sweet Allyson, but here she and Ben are enjoying the museum. She is sure a cutie-pie. She also enjoyed the cousin time. She is at the age where she played on her own mostly, but she was interested in what all the "big kids" were doing.

Beth fed Allyson almost all of her dinner at Panchitos our last night. It was very cute. I think Allyson ate past being full, but she thought it was fun that Beth was feeding her.

My fabulous sister! I have much to learn from her about hospitality (among other things). Her home is an open door to anyone who wants to just stop by and chat, to someone who needs a place to stay for awhile longer. She goes with the flow and is not flustered by a change to her plans. Maybe she's caught that Southern hospitality bug, although that mind set goes perfectly with her personality.

Like the aprons? Yes, that is my Benjamin in the cute ruffly one with no shirt on underneath. Isn't he precious?

We made it to the zoo as well. Can you say HOT out there??? And now we are back home in weather that is barely threatening to hit 65. Might we please have something in between?

Ben had fun with Uncle Brent at the zoo. This trip it was nice to spend a bit more time than usual with Brent. The kids got to know their uncle a little more. I also enjoyed getting to hear Brent play at a concert he put together as a part of a series he is doing through their church, Redeemer Presbyterian. Brent played the first half, and then he accompanied a wonderful young tenor for the second half. It was great getting to hear Brent play after so long! As fabulous as ever!

Cooling off with yummy locally-made fruit popcicles.

A beautiful park at the library

We miss you guys already, but look forward to the time flying by until we get to see you next! Love you Watkins!
