So, we knew we were in for a sunny day, so thought it would be the perfect opportunity to enjoy the ZOO! Benjamin had never been to a zoo, and Beth had been once when she was two. We got there nice and early when it opened, anticipating a big crowd on one of the first warm Saturdays of the Spring. It was pretty busy. They were having a special elephant day celebrating the birthdays of two elephants.
Here Benjamin is sportin' the shades as we started out this morning.
There is a giraffe behind Bethany in the distance. Bethany's favorite was the polar bears!
Benjamin's favorite were the elephants He says that he liked the lions too, but the funny thing is that there were no lions at the zoo. Hmmmm...I think he was just looking forward to the lions. He really also enjoyed all the places with water...the viewing areas with fish and sea lions and fish, and any waterfalls or water features. He really enjoys water.
This captures his face at any water area. I guess we ought to go visit an aquarium one of these days :). Beth actually took this picture, and it amazingly is the best picture
of Ben enjoying the zoo.

The sea lions were pretty amazing. I was shocked that they let this baby elephant in to see the sea lions. In fact, everywhere you looked there were baby elephants loose at the zoo. Crazy...;)

I love all of your pictures! And I'd be super excited to hear that you're having twins. :) We'll hope that one's true.
I've never been to the Pland zoo! It looks like it was so much fun. If we ever get up there, we'll have to go.
